Free Consultation

An initial free consultation will take place at your home, during which you should disclose any behaviour and/or health issues your pet may have, of which PatchPets ought to be aware.  Please note that all relevant medical history needs to be provided and updated each time you make a booking.

Booking

We will always try to accommodate you and your pet in whatever circumstances: the better we know your pet(s), the better the care we can provide.  Please advise at the time of booking or making a new care arrangement if there are any changes to your pet's health or routine that we'll need to know.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel a scheduled service, we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice, otherwise you may be charged for the appointment.

Keys

Your keys are kept in PatchPets key-safe when not in use.  In the unlikely event of a lock malfunction, and PatchPets has to arrange a locksmith to gain entry to your premises due to a malfunction of the lock, a key or your failure to leave a key, it shall be your responsibility to reimburse PatchPets any expenses thus incurred upon your return.  House keys are preferably collected at the time of your consultation visit, and should you decide to use our services on a regular basis, your keys can be held by us to avoid the inconvenience of having to drop off a key every time you need pet care.  Your security is assured at all times as all keys are held in a secure safe and do not bear any address.  Should you not require this service, then your keys will be returned to you once you are back home.

Payment

Our current methods of payment are cash, cheque (please make cheques payable to "PatchPets") or via BACS: PatchPets - Sort Code: 83-50-00, Account Number: 16721346

Identity Tag

Under the Control of Dogs Order 1992, any dog in a public place must wear a collar and a tag showing the owner's name, address and postcode, whether or not the dog is microchipped. Please ensure your dog carries ID.

Pet Food

If feeding is required, sufficient food should be supplied.

Emergency Care

Morag is a trained Canine First Responder (doggie first aider), but in the event of illness or injury, you undertake to authorise PatchPets to take your dog/cat to the nearest veterinary practice, and to pay for whatever veterinary care may be required, in the opinion of the veterinarian.  PatchPets will contact you or your chosen emergency contact at the telephone numbers listed on the Client Information Sheet.  If you or the Emergency Contact cannot be reached, PatchPets is permitted to make any necessary decisions regarding the health and wellbeing of the dog/cat at your expense.

Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

Dog breeds/types registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 cannot be accepted for our services.

In entering into a pet care agreement with PatchPets, the owner:
